Annual Fund
Help us cut the gap between what we collect per student and the actual cost per student. The difference in 2017-18 was $500 per student (the difference between tuition collected per student and actual cost per student). So your donations to the Annual Fund make a huge difference for our school! Every fall we have an auction for our school to help us close that gap. You can donate goods and services to be auctioned off and you can come the night of the auction and win some great items to bless the school.

Boxtops for Education!
This is one of most successful programs over the years that has provided supplies for our school – thanks to the support of our parents. Turn in those General Mills boxtop labels to the front office of the school or your child’s teachers. Your support through the school year will help us to continue to improve our school’s technology program. Since 2004, $27,000 (as of September 2015) has been raised in from this program!

David Benton Scholarship Fund
Did you know? FMCS has financial assistance available based on need and resources. There are also scholarships available through the state of Florida. Each family that requests financial assistance participates in a financial needs evaluation process through an outside organization.

Endowment Fund
In 1995, the Development Council and the School Board agreed that we needed to establish an Endowment Fund. An Endowment Fund is one in which monies are donated and the capital is invested. We did not want to become so focused on the day-to-day operation that we would overlook the future. We wanted to provide a way in which an individual could give a gift that would go on giving well beyond his own life. The monies are invested through the well established Southwest Florida Community Foundation. The foundation is comprised of community leaders throughout Southwest Florida. A memorial plaque will be on display in the school in order to recognize the gifts given in memory of a loved one.

Grandma Betty Scholarship
Elizabeth Defebio was the grandmother of two former FMCS students, Audrey and Kelly Reese. Both of these students were very active in sports and music at FMCS. Their Grandma Betty passed away in October of 1998. She was also very active at FMCS with her consistent attendance at the girls sporting and music events. She touched people from all walks of life, and her memory will live on as one middle school student receives this scholarship award of $1200 every year. The student will be selected by the FMCS teachers and administration. Their decision is based on Christian walk, academic achievement and service to the community.

John O’Brien Scholar-Athlete Award
John O’Brien proudly served in the U.S. Army. While on tour in Vietnam he received the Bronze Star. He joined the City of Fort Myers Police Department in 1972. Captain O’Brien retired in 2002 after 30 years of service. Upon retirement John pursued his love of sports as the Physical Education teaching assistant, Athletic Director and Basketball coach at Fort Myers Christian School. His wife. Marilyn, and daughter, Christine, provide a $1000 scholarship to a middle school student that excels in the classroom, on the athletic field and in life through their character.

Jordan Sadler Scholarship
Jordan Sadler, who graduated from FMCS in 2010, had a heart for the least of these. Jordan growing up often observed and noticed needs that others might overlook, but it was on the 8th Grade Missions Trip to Corpus Christi that his mom, who went as an adult sponsor, really saw in action his tender heart towards those in need. Jordan loved helping and feeding the homeless and also enjoyed his time of ministry to children as a clown.  The Sadler Family has established this fund in honor of Jordan to help support this vital annual missions outreach to children and adults. Eighth graders at FMCS have taken a missions trip since 1991, more recently they are traveling to El Salvador to work with King’s Castle Ministries. Your tax deductible donation in Jordan’s memory will help the children and adults ministered to each year?whether through Bibles, sound equipment, food or clothing, depending on the focus of that trip.
